MPS Announced as Tyler Mount Dealer

DALLAS– Tyler Camera Systems has named MPS Studios Dallas the new, exclusive North Texas dealer for Tyler Mount systems. Designed for use with both film and digital cameras, Tyler Mounts attach to either the front or side of a helicopter and provide a stable, controllable camera mount for capturing aerial images.  MPS Studios Dallas is one of only 35 dealers worldwide, and will carry the Middle Mount II and Nose Mount II, as well as gyro systems.

The Tyler Middle Mount II and Nose Mount II are the most common and versatile helicopter camera systems worldwide. The Middle Mount II (aka "Side Mount") enables a panorama of angles visible from the side of the helicopter, and can be used with most any camera, lens, filters or accessories. The Tyler Nose Mount II is the ideal platform for establishing and reveal shots, offering a forward-looking point of view with remote tilt.

 

Established in 1979, MPS Studios Dallas has spent over 30 years supporting the production industry with equipment, sound stages, and expertise. Conveniently located north of downtown and between both airports, MPS provides exceptional service to clients world-wide in a comfortable, functional atmosphere. The 65,000 square foot full-service facility offers sound stages, production equipment, and more than 20 staff specialists and trained technicians.

Tyler Camera Systems was founded by Nelson Tyler after inventing the Tyler Mount in the late 1950's. In recognition of his accomplishment, he was later presented with a Scientific and Engineering Award from the Academy of Motion Pictures, for the progressive development and improvement of the Tyler helicopter camera platform. More recently, he received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers.
