CURRENTLY SEEKING GRIP/ELECTRICIAN
MPS Studios Dallas, a vendor to the motion picture industry for nearly 30 years, is currently seeking a qualified Grip/Electrician to become a part of our excellent team! As a MPS Studios Dallas Grip/Electrician, your days will be spent working with production companies nationwide, preparing orders, and assisting in the maintenance of the rolling stock fleet. Qualified candidates must have a working basic knowledge of mechanics with the ability and skill set to inspect, maintain, and repair generators and trucks that run on gasoline or diesel fuel; a current CDL license; a minimum of 1 year driving experience with fewer than 3 moving violations in the last year.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-4 years practical mechanical experience or an equivalent combination of related education and experience, proven ability to weld and operate welding equipment, proficiency in use of all tools, and a general knowledge of grip/lighting equipment, understanding of electricity/electronics.

Typically this role is physically intensive, and transportation will be an integral part of the duties.
Required Skills for Every Candidate: · Current, unrestricted CDL license · At least 1 year of driving experience · Less than 3 moving violations in the past year · Must have professional demeanor and strong communications skills, both written and verbal · High accuracy with close attention to detail · Self-starter able to work at a fast pace and independently prioritize and coordinate numerous projects at once while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and organization · Applicants must be at least 21 years of age; and must be able to read, write and speak the English language · Applicants must meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company mental and physical requirements; and must be physically and mentally able to safely perform the essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to the employee or co-workers · Applicants must receive satisfactory results from a background check, as conducted in accordance with applicable laws, and must pass a drug screening
Preferred Skills: · High school diploma or equivalent · 2 year(s) of Diesel Tractor Maintenance experience · Previous professional driving experience · Proven welding skills · Good knowledge of the streets, highways, and freeways in Dallas/Fort Worth area
